What is PleumRouter?
Service definition, audience, scope and limits.
PleumRouter is an AI API gateway for developers, individual AI agent users, and small to midsize teams building AI services. It provides LLM, image and video models with prepaid KRW billing. Documented LLM endpoints work with the OpenAI SDK; media generation uses dedicated APIs. Teams can settle usage across providers from a single KRW balance and manage models, usage and budgets in one place, with automatic failover on supported routes and optional PII masking.
Who it is for#
Developers building AI services, individuals using agents such as Codex or Claude Code, and small to midsize organizations adopting AI and managing API budgets. The current market is South Korea, including teams integrating LLM and media APIs such as Kling video.
Account owners can invite collaborators to Workspaces and manage their usage and budgets. CLI coding-agent integrations (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) are also supported.
How to start#
For documented compatible LLM features, set the OpenAI SDK base_url to https://apirouter.pleum.ai/v1 and use a PleumRouter API key. Video generation and other media features use their dedicated APIs and model-specific parameters.
import os
from openai import OpenAI
client = OpenAI(
base_url="https://apirouter.pleum.ai/v1",
api_key=os.environ["PLEUM_API_KEY"],
)
resp = client.chat.completions.create(
model="gpt-5.4-mini",
messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Hello"}],
)See the Quickstart and API reference for full setup. You can sign up without registering a card; one free trial call is available in the playground after signup.
Costs and payment conditions#
Usage is settled in KRW prepaid credits. Model usage carries no markup (0%), and an FX markup of 0.5% applies to the KRW conversion. Prepaid top-ups by accounts without a subscription carry a 3% platform fee. Calls that fail before a response starts are not billed.
Current fee numbers and the exact formula are published live on the pricing docs.
Scope and limits#
- Not every model or feature is supported — check each model's supported parameters and features in the model catalog.
- Inference location varies by provider; cross-border transfer destinations are published in Article 5 of the privacy policy.
- Electronic tax invoices are issued on request after Korean business verification. Verification can be completed in advance.
- KRW payments are currently available for the South Korean market only.
- PII masking is optional. See the masking guide for its scope.
