Q.How is this different from OpenRouter?#
We offer a supported model catalog with KRW billing and a PII masking option. Model usage carries no markup (0%), and an FX markup of 0.5% applies to the KRW conversion. When an account without a subscription tops up prepaid credits, a 3% platform fee applies; top-ups by subscribed accounts carry no platform fee. The amount you pay at top-up includes 10% VAT.
Q.How much of my existing OpenAI code do I need to change?#
For documented compatible endpoints, set api_key and base_url to use the OpenAI SDK. Check each model’s documentation for supported parameters and response features.
Q.Which models can I use?#
PleumRouter is an AI API gateway for developers, individual AI agent users, and small to midsize teams building AI services. It provides LLM, image and video models with prepaid KRW billing. Documented LLM endpoints work with the OpenAI SDK; media generation uses dedicated APIs. Teams can settle usage across providers from a single KRW balance and manage models, usage and budgets in one place, with automatic failover on supported routes and optional PII masking. Q.Does my data leave the country?#
The inference location depends on the model. The processing country for each model follows the table in Article 5 of the Privacy Policy. Note that even a model from a Korean company may run on overseas inference infrastructure (e.g., Upstage Solar is processed on US infrastructure). PleumRouter's own service operations infrastructure (servers and databases), by contrast, runs in the Seoul region of South Korea on Vercel, Supabase and Alibaba Cloud, so account and usage records are stored domestically as their primary location. You can mask sensitive information in advance with per-API-key 'PII masking'.
Q.How do I pay?#
New accounts get 100 bonus credits, and you can earn up to 400 additional credits through activities such as the sign-up survey, your first API call and five days of use. Your first top-up earns a separate reward of 10% of the credit you top up (capped at 5,000 credits). Payment is by Korean card (KRW, one-off) only — minimum top-up 5,000 credits. Q.Am I charged for failed calls?#
A call that fails before any response is sent is not billed. Successful calls are settled based on actual tokens used. If a streaming response fails midway, the tokens already sent are billed.
Q.What happens during a provider outage?#
If the call still fails after retries and fallback, an error is returned and you are not charged.
Q.What if my API key is leaked?#
Deactivate it immediately from the dashboard. Setting a monthly budget limit and an allowed-model restriction per key in advance helps limit the damage.
Q.Can I use PleumRouter with my team?#
An account owner can invite collaborators to a Workspace. Usage and prepaid credits are managed by the owner account. Postpaid billing is available only under an approved B2B contract.
Q.Can I settle usage across multiple AI models in one place?#
Yes. Usage across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and more is deducted from a single KRW credit balance, with models, usage and team budgets managed in one dashboard. Tax invoices can be requested after business verification.
